The Bally House was built in 1913 and was home to the Bally family for nearly 100 years. The Bally’s were a prominent local family best known for their work as the community’s blacksmiths. The house is filled with antiques, furnishings and books that were a part of the Bally’s everyday lives. Guests are invited to make themselves at home and enjoy all that the house and grounds have to offer, including a sun porch, library, sitting room, gardens and fire pit. Games and puzzles are available in the library; Netflix is available on the television in the sitting room; and free high speed internet is available throughout the house. A full breakfast is served each morning in the dining room.

Bally House B&B offers four guest rooms on the second floor, each with a private bathroom. The rooms have been updated but continue to reflect the character and charm of the 1900’s.

Located in Grand Marais, Minnesota (voted Budget Travel’s “Coolest Small Town” for 2015), the Bally House is conveniently located one block north of the Post Office and is within easy walking distance to downtown. Shops, restaurants, art galleries, museums and the harbor are about a 5 minute walk from the B&B.

Rates for 2017

All rooms are $120 per night plus taxes. Your visit includes a full breakfast in the morning and an afternoon snack.
